That's monday-friday!

I hasten to add that my abbreviation stood for monday-friday job!

Spell with Flickr

Thanks to ELL and the Flickr exploration, I discovered Spell with Flickr and used it to create signage for Option: Artist, a show of paintings, drawings, and ceramic pieces currently on display at Open Studio Gallery, 901 Sherman. I'm delighted to have put new knowledge to work so concretely and promptly--and to have impressed two 20-something co-workers at my m-f job with computer savvy!

7 1/2 habits

I appreciate the supportive tone and broad approach to life long learning. but, as an intuitive learner, a lot of the very sensible tips here go deeply against my grain. Wandering and being willing not to know where I will end up are two of my greatest strengths as a learner. So, step No. 1, Begin with the end in mind, is the hardest for me to swallow. I get how it can work for many as a good guide, but, for me, it's like putting on a choke chain. When I had to submit outlines or syllabi, I just did them after the fact. I'd say Accepting responsibility for my own learning is the easiest step for me.
